Abstract: | This study is specifically concerned with Czech-German relations since the revolutionary years of 1989/1990 in light of the integration process of the Czech Republic into the EC/EU. The Czech Republic entered the EC/EU within the frame of the Eastern Enlargement. The integration of the Czech Republic was however preceded by the normalization of the bilateral relations with Germany, the process of which is reflected in the common declarations of the years 1992 and 1997. With regard to the complex common history of these countries the bachelor's thesis is to investigate the development of the bilateral relation and its impact on the integration process of the Czech Republic into the EC/EU, analyze the political base and principles, which influenced the attitude of Germany toward the integration efforts of the Czech Republic and map the issues, which had a crucial impact on the formation of the complicated "triangular relation" - Prague, Berlin, Munich. |
