| Abstract: | Ústředním tématem této práce je chudoba ve východní Evropě a její důsledky. Práce je pojata jako případová studie o Ukrajině. Teoretická část se věnuje hledání možných příčin chudoby v historickém vývoji tohoto regionu, definici chudoby, metodám měření a potřebám tohoto měření. Praktická část se zabývá přímo analýzou Ukrajiny a poté nalezením ekonomických a politických důsledků chudoby. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the poverty in Eastern Europe and its consequences. The paper is concieved as a case study about Ukraine. The theoretical part focuses on the search for the possible causes of poverty in the historical development, the definition of the poverty, the methods of measurement and the necessity of this measurement. In the practical part Ukraine is analyzed and, furthermore, the emphasis is put on the economic and political consequences of the poverty. |
