| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je zjistit, jak se evropské náboženské tradice promítají do současného cestovního ruchu. K této analýze bude využito konkrétního příkladu, jihofrancouzské oblasti Pays Cathare. První část práce se věnuje hlavním náboženským směrům, které ovlivnily vývoj Starého kontinentu a památkám, jež jsou s nimi spojené. Následuje obecná charakteristika Francie, důraz je kladen na náboženský vývoj tohoto státu a jeho postavení na poli cestovního ruchu. Další část vysvětluje historické a náboženské pozadí tzv. katarského hnutí a vymezuje oblast Pays Cathare. Poslední část této práce se věnuje popisu cestovního ruchu v Pays Cathare, analyzuje základní faktory rozvoje místního turismu, hlavní skupiny návštěvníků, historii a současný způsob řízení cestovního ruchu. Těchto informací je využito k sestavení SWOT analýzy, posouzení významu středověké tradice katarství pro současný cestovní ruch oblasti Pays Cathare a vyslovení obecných závěrů aplikovatelných na jiné oblasti Evropy s dosud živým náboženským odkazem. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to find out how the European religious traditions reflect in modern tourism. To analyze this, a specific example of Pays Cathare, a southern France's destination, is used. The first part of this paper deals with the main religions that affected the history of Europe and describes the most important religious monuments. Subsequently, it focuses on France, its religion history and situation in the domain of tourism. The next chapter explains the historic and religious background of the so-called Cathar movement and specifies the area of Pays Cathare. The last part describes the tourism in the Pays Cathare. It examines various factors of development of local tourism, main tourist's segments, history and actual management of tourism. All obtained information is then used within the compilation of the SWOT analysis, assessment of the importance of the medieval tradition of Catharism for modern tourism in the area of Pays Cathare and formulation of general conclusions that can be applied in other European destinations rich in religious traditions. |
