| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá rozborem vybraných indických vládních programů pro rozvoj. V první kapitole je stručně charakterizována ekonomická a sociální situace Indie. Druhá kapitola se zabývá vývojem a měřením chudoby a určením potenciálních beneficientů programů. Třetí kapitola rozebírá dva vybrané programy, konkrétně Targeted Public Distribution System (program pro příděly potravin chudým) a Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (program s cílem zajistit zaměstnání pro každou domácnost). |

| Abstract: | The text analyses selected government development schemes in India. The first chapter briefly characterizes the economical and social situation in India. The second chapter focuses on the development and estimation of poverty and on the selection of possible beneficiaries of the schemes. The third chapter describes two selected schemes, Targeted Public Distribution System (a scheme for distribution of subsidized food) and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (a scheme ensuring a job for each family). |
