| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem židovské diaspory v USA na zahraniční politiku Spojených států vůči Izraeli a především pak vůči izraelsko-palestinskému konfliktu. Teoretická část je zaměřena na objasnění pojmu diaspora a jejímu vlivu na mezinárodní vztahy. Zkoumá vývoj židovské diaspory od jejích počátků až do současnosti a zaměřuje se zejména na Spojené státy. V druhé části se věnuje pro-izraelské lobby, jejímu vlivu na zákonodárnou a výkonnou moc ve Spojených státech a nejvýznamnějším pro-izraelským organizacím. V závěru se zabývá samotným izraelsko-palestinským konfliktem, jeho nejdůležitějšími historickými aspekty a především pak politikou posledních tří amerických prezidentů: W. J. Clintona, G. W. Bushe a B. Obamy. |

| Abstract: | This thesis examines the influence of the Jewish diaspora in the U.S. on United States foreign policy towards Israel, and especially to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The theoretical part is aimed at explanation of the concept of diaspora and its influence on international relations. It examines the development of the Jewish Diaspora from its beginnings to the present, focusing in particular on the United States. The second part deals with the pro-Israeli lobby and its influence on the legislative and executive power in the United States and describes the most significant pro-Israeli organizations. In the end the thesis examines the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, his key historical aspects and especially the policy of the last three U.S. presidents: W. J. Clinton, G. W. Bush and B. Obama. |
