Abstract: | Práce se zabývá všeobecnými volbami a povolebním vývojem ve Velké Británii roku 2010 se zaměřením na vznik a složení koaliční vlády. Cílem práce je zjistit důvody, proč liberální demokraté dali přednost konzervativcům před labouristy, a zda je možné toto rozhodnutí podložit teorií koalic. Práce pomocí aplikace teorie koalic analyzuje možné výstupy voleb, konkrétně možné minimální vítězné koalice, a to s použitím tří kritérií: velikosti, počtu členů a ideologické vzdálenosti koaličních partnerů. Aby mohla práce zodpovědět, jaké varianty jsou dle jednotlivých kritérií nejvýhodnější, rozebírá ideologii hlavních účastníků voleb, analyzuje jejich postoj k současným problémům Velké Británie a věnuje se také volebním výsledkům. Komparací jednotlivých možností dochází práce k závěru, že rozhodnutí liberálních demokratů je možné založit na teorii koalic v případě výběru kritéria počtu členů, jehož volbu podporuje dvoustranický politický systém Velké Británie. |

Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with the general election and post-election development in Great Britain in 2010 and focuses on formation and composition of the coalition government. Goal of the work is to identify the reasons why the Liberal Democrats preferred the Conservatives to the Labour Party and to find out whether is the decision based on the theory of coalitions. Through application of the theory of coalitions and three criterions: size, number of the members and ideological distance, the work analyzes possible outcomes of the election, concretely the possible minimal winning coalitions. In order to answer what option are the most suitable to the various criterions, the work discusses the ideology of the main election participants, analyzes their attitude to current issues of Great Britain and mentions the election results. By comparing the various options, the bachelor thesis finds out the decision of the Liberal Democrats can be found on the theory of coalitions in case of selection of number of members criterion which is promoted by British bi-partisanship. |
