| Abstract: | Středomoří patří díky své geografické poloze i historickým vazbám na evropské státy z dob koloniální správy mezi klíčové oblasti vnějších vztahů Evropské unie. Cílem bakalářské práce je charakterizovat země regionu jižního a východního Středomoří z hlediska toho, co mohou Evropské unii nabídnout pozitivního v oblasti ekonomiky a obchodu, i toho, v čem mohou naopak pro Evropskou unii spočívat rizika vzájemné spolupráce. Práce nejprve porovnává jednotlivé středomořské země v oblasti ekonomiky, energetiky a migrace, následně analyzuje obchodní vazby v oblasti a zabývá se pokrokem budování Euro-středomořské zóny volného obchodu. Na závěr se práce snaží zhodnotit některé možné přínosy i potenciální rizika spolupráce obou regionů v rámci Euro-středomořského partnerství. |

| Abstract: | The Mediterranean region is due to its geographical location and historical ties to the European countries from the period of colonial administration one of the key areas of external relations of the European Union. The objective of this thesis is to characterize Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries in terms of what positives they can offer to the European Union in the field of economy and trade and in terms of what risks, on the contrary, their mutual cooperation can bring to the EU. Firstly, the paper compares the individual Mediterranean economies in the areas of economy, energetics and migration, then it analyses the trade relations in the Euro-Mediterranean region and deals with the progress of the Euro-Mediterranean Free Trade Area. Finally, the paper tries to assess some possible benefits and potential risks of the cooperation of the two regions within the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership. |
