| Abstract: | Práce analyzuje ekonomickou situaci v Maroku na počátku nového tisíciletí. Poskytuje obecné informace o zemi, stručný kulturní, historický a politický vývoj se zaměřením na poslední dvě desetiletí reforem. Rozebírá také na pozadí současných protestů a možnosti budoucího vývoje. V ekonomické části se věnuje podrobněji vývoji v klíčovém sektoru zemědělství, postihuje reformy pod patronátem mezinárodních organizací a detailněji nahlíží na privatizaci a těžbu fosfátů. V poslední části rozebírá postavení Maroka ve světovém obchodě a jeho velmi jednostrannou orientaci na státech EU. |

| Abstract: | The study analyzes the development of the economy and democracy in Morocco with the focus on the last two decades. It focuses on a description of the most important reforms and changes that were introduced since the early eighthies debt crisis, mainly privatisation. The study explains the background and the social situation of the riots in 2011. The paper also introduces the relationship between Morocco and EU, which is its main, and the only one really important, trade partner and summarizes the trade policy of the kingdom. |
