| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této práce je provést analýzu současné ekonomiky Hongkongu a rovněž její pozice pod čínským vlivem, jejich vzájemný vztah, případně zachytit základní změny, které se odehrály po předání Hongkongu Číně. První kapitola je věnována základní charakteristice ekonomiky Hongkongu, a to konktrétně struktuře ekonomiky a makroekonomickým údajům. Druhá kapitola se zabývá mezinárodním obchodem, který je rozdělen na mezinárodní obchod se službami a na obchod se zbožím, dále zmiňuje přímé investice a běžný účet platební bilance. Třetí kapitola shrnuje základní dopady asijské finanční krize z roku 1997-1998 na Hongkong. Poslední kapitola vysvětluje vztah Hongkongu s Čínskou lidovou republikou a dále se zabývá Hongkongem v době po navrácení Číně. |

| Abstract: | The main objective of this work is to analyze the current economy of Hong Kong and also its position under the Chinese influence, their interrelationship, or to capture the fundamental changes that took place after the handover of Hong Kong to China. The first chapter is devoted to the principal characteristics of the economy of Hong Kong, particularly to its economic structure and macroeconomic data. The second section deals with international trade, which is divided into international trade in services and trade in goods. It also mentions direct investments and the current account of balance of payments. The third chapter summarizes fundamental impacts of the Asian financial crisis of 1997-1998 in Hong Kong. The last chapter explains the relationship of Hong Kong with the People's Republic of China and it also deals with Hong Kong in the period after the handover to China. |
