| Abstract: | The enterprise is an activity which is necessary to be continually analysed, revised and improved. The financial analysis is a tool to complex evaluation of financial situation and company management. It enables us to find, through some indicators, weak and strong points of a company and then to recommend us on what we should focus or what we should improve. The financial analysis also serves as an important source of information not only for the company itself (owners, managers, employees) but also for the subjects cooperating with the company (investors, suppliers, banks), as well as for the state and its bodies. The main aim of the thesis was to prepare a financial analysis to a given company and thereby apply the theoretical knowledge gained during the university studies. The analysis has been worked up for a period of five years (2005 -- 2009). All data have been taken from the provided annual reports of the company. Of course, the financial analysis made from openly available information is not able to answer all the questions; nevertheless it is a good source of information about the company management in the past as well as a possible recommendation to the future. |

| Abstract: | Podnikání je činnost, kterou je třeba neustále analyzovat, kontrolovat a zlepšovat. Nástrojem pro komplexní hodnocení finanční situace a hospodaření podniku je finanční analýza. Ta nám pomocí komplexu ukazatelů umožňuje zjistit silné a slabé stránky podniku a doporučit, na co se zaměřit, co zlepšit. Finanční analýza slouží jako důležitý zdroj informací nejen pro podnik samotný (vlastníky, manažery, zaměstnance), ale také pro subjekty, které s podnikem spolupracují (investoři, dodavatelé, banky), dále pak i pro stát a jeho orgány. Cílem práce bylo zpracovat finanční analýzu pro vybraný podnik a aplikovat tak teoretické znalosti získané během studia na vysoké škole na konkrétní podnik. Finanční analýza byla zpracována za období pěti let (2005 -- 2009), údaje jsem čerpal z veřejně dostupných výročních zpráv podniku. Finanční analýza zpracována z veřejně dostupných informací nedokáže odpovědět na všechny otázky, avšak i přesto je dobrým zdrojem informací o hospodaření podniku v minulosti a možným doporučením do budoucna. |
