| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je posoudit připravenost České republiky na vstup do Evropské měnové unie. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část přibliţuje historii Evropské měnové unie. Druhá část řeší Maastrichtská konvergenční kritéria a jejich konkrétní plnění Českou republikou. Poslední část práce se zabývá Teorií optimálních měnových oblastí a reálnými kritérii konvergence, přičemţ se práce opět snaţí zhodnotit jejich současné plnění Českou republikou. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to assess, whether the Czech Republic is ready to join the European Monetary Union. The thesis consists of three main parts. The first part describes the history of the European Monetary Union. The second part deals with the Maastricht Convergence Criteria and their concrete fulfillment in the Czech Republic. The last part focuses on the Theory of optimum currency area and Real Convergence Criteria, whereas also attempts to assess their current fulfillment in the Czech Republic. |
