| Abstract: | Chávezova Sjednocená socialistická strana Venezuely (PSUV) obdržela v legislativních volbách v září 2010 téměř stejný počet hlasů jako opoziční koalice Výbor demokratické jednoty (MUD), avšak PSUV získala o 32 mandátů více než opozice. I přes tento rozdíl v mandátech považovali mnozí komentátoři ve světě za vítěze voleb MUD. Tato práce se při podrobné analýze voleb snaží odpovědět na dvě otázky, a to jaký je důvod tak markantního rozdílu mezi počtem mandátů při téměř stejném počtu získaných hlasů a kdo tedy skutečně volby vyhrál. Kromě voleb samotných se práce zabývá vývojem ve Venezuele v posledních desetiletích a volebními systémy obecně. |

| Abstract: | In parliamentary election in September 2010 Chavez's United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) obtained almost the same number of votes as the opposition's Coalition for Democratic Unity (MUD), however PSUV got 32 seats more than the opposition. Through this significant difference many publicists from all over the world considered MUD as a winner of the election. This bachelor thesis is analyzing the election and tries to bring the answer to two questions - what is the reason for such a big difference between obtained seats while the number of votes has been almost the same and who is the real winner of this election. Apart of this the bachelor thesis also focuses on the development of Venezuela in the last decades and on electoral systems in general. |
