| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá vývojem demografického stárnutí v zemích, které jsou v roce 2011 členy Evropské unie. Na obecný historický vývoj navazuje analýza stárnutí v jednotlivých členských zemích v minulém desetiletí. Tyto země jsou porovnávány na základě nejvýznamnějších ukazatelů demografického stárnutí. Za Evropskou unii jako celek jsou tyto ukazatele sledovány za nejdelší možný časový úsek. Srovnání je provedeno především graficky. V závěru jsou všechny zjištěné poznatky shrnuty do přehledného celku popisujícího vývoj stárnutí v Evropské unii a jejich členských zemích. |

| Abstract: | The thesis is focused on the development of demographic ageing in the countries that are the members of the European Union in 2011. The general overview of historical evolution is followed by the analysis of ageing in the European Union member countries in the last decade. The countries are compared on the basis of the most significant indicators of demographic ageing. The indicators are pursued for the longest possible period as for the European Union as the whole. Comparison is presented mainly in graphic form. All discovered knowledge is clearly resumed describing the development of ageing in the European Union and its member countries in the conclusion. |
