| Abstract: | Cílem práce je zhodnotit integrační snahy v oblasti evropské bezpečnosti a posoudit, nakolik tzv. Lisabonská smlouva (platná od prosince 2009) ovlivní další směřování Společné (evropské) bezpečnostní a obranné politiky. První část práce je zaměřena na historii spolupráce v oblasti bezpečnosti v západní Evropě během studené války. Druhá část se věnuje vývoji bezpečnostní integrace po pádu železné opony, kdy došlo ke sblížení evropských zemí a vzniku EU. Změnám po přijetí Lisabonské smlouvy se věnuje třetí část, která popisuje fungování EBOP/SBOP a řešení krizí. Tato část dále zachycuje reakci EU na právě probíhající krizi v Libyi a možný nástin řešení krize. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the thesis is to assess integration efforts in the field of European security and consider to what extent the Lisbon Treaty (effective from December 2009) will affect the future of the Common (European) Security and Defence Policy. The first part is focused on the history of security cooperation in the Western Europe during the Cold War. The second part deals with the evolution of security integration after the fall of the Iron Curtain, which has started convergency of European countries and gave rise to the European Union (EU). Changes induced by the Lisbon Treaty are mentioned in the third part, which decribes the ESDP/CSDP and crisis management. This part also describes the EU's response to the ongoing crisis in the Libya and outlines possible solutions to the crisis. |
