| Abstract: | Předmětem interdisciplinárního zkoumání disertační práce je etika v její komplexnosti, avšak s ohledem na praktickou využitelnost tohoto zkoumání a zvýšení srozumitelnosti disertační práce je ryze teoretický aspekt doplněn příklady konkrétního etického selhání z praxe, přičemž konkrétní pozornost je zaměřena na některé z nejvýznamnějších faktorů, které způsobili či prohloubily současnou finanční krizi. Islámská etika je analyzována a prezentována referenční rámec, přičemž jsou v této souvislosti osvětleny některé vazby mezi islámem, judaismem a křesťanstvím jakožto zástupců neislámské etiky, a to jak na pozadí historického vývoje, tak v souvztažnosti na fungování bankovního systému a principech obchodování v islámu obecně. |

| Abstract: | In spite of the undisputable significance of ethics in virtually all fields of human behavior, the lack of ethics in business is painfully obvious with respect to the current financial crisis. The dissertation focuses on the theoretical analysis of the complications inherent to any attempt of defining ethics and ethical behavior, as well as the analysis of the intricate connection between theory and practice. The analysis of Islamic ethics and the financial crisis draws on the preceding theoretical background and sheds some light on the problems related to tack of ethics in business and the indispensable necessity of substantially augmenting the relevance of ethics not only in business, but in all the fields interconnected with the subject matter of ethics, which requires resolving the aforementioned intricacy that characterizes the link between theory and practice. |
