| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je identifikovat oblasti, ve kterých je možné zlepšit pozici České republiky z hlediska mezinárodní konkurenceschopnosti. Z důvodu jisté nejednoznačnosti definice konkurenční schopnosti státu se v první části práce zabývám jejím vymezením, měřením a hodnocením. V druhé části poté používám metodu komparace s vybranými zeměmi a závěrem se věnuji aspektům potenciálního zlepšení situace ČR včetně určitých doporučení. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to identify the areas in which is possible to improve the position of the Czech Republic in the international context of competitiveness. Whereas it is difficult to define the national competitiveness, I focus, in the first part of the thesis, on the measuring and evaluating the national competitiveness. The second part is used as to compare the situation with selected countries, the last one contains chosen fields where could be a potencial for improvement, including given recommendations. |
