| Abstract: | Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá genézou hedgeových fondov a ich reguláciou v rámci EÚ. V úvodnej časti je charakterizované odvetvie hedgeových fondov, ich vývoj a súčasné trendy. V ďalšej časti sú rozobraté dôvody ktoré viedli k snahe o zvýšenie regulácie hedgeových fondov ktorá v EÚ vyústila k prijatiu smernice o správcoch alternatívnych investičných fondov (AIFMD). V praktickej časti je táto smernica analyzovaná spoločne s pohľadom na jej možné dopady na hedgeové fondy. |

| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá genezí hedgeových fondů a jejich regulací v rámci EU. V úvodní části je charakterizováno odvětví hedgeových fondů, jejich vývoj a současné trendy. V další části jsou rozebrány důvody, které vedly ke snaze o zvýšení regulace hedgeových fondů, která v EU vyústila v přijetí směrnice o správcích alternativních investičních fondů (AIFMD). V praktické části je tato směrnice analyzována společně s pohledem na její možné dopady na hedgeové fondy. |

| Abstract: | This bachalor thesis is focus on the genesis of the hedge funds and its regulation within EU. In the first part, the hedge funds industry, its development and current trends are described. In the next section the reasons which led to an effort to increase the regulation of the hedge funds, which in the EU resulted into adoption of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) are discussed. In the practical part, the directive is analyzed together with the view to its possible impact on the hedge funds industry. |
