| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce bude zejména analýza ekonomických příčin, jež vedly Velkou Británii ve 30. let 20. století k volbě politiky appeasementu (usmiřování agresivních evropských mocností, především nacistického Německa). Z výše uvedeného důvodu půjde v první řadě o analýzu ekonomických a poté rovněž politických a sociálních vazeb mezi Velkou Británií a Německem. V práci budou nejdříve analyzovány historické souvislosti (především dopady Velké hospodářské krize), které ovlivnily politiku Británie a její ekonomické vazby k Německu. Dále budou analyzovány proměny politiky appeasementu ve druhé polovině 30. let, v předvečer druhé světové války a v období, kdy Británie od této politiky musela upustit. Práce bude zároveň pokusem o zodpovězení otázky, zda měla Velká Británie vzhledem k působení řady vnitropolitických i zahraničněpolitických faktorů vůbec možnost volit alternativní politiku, jež by důrazněji čelila nastupujícímu nacistickému Německu. |

| Abstract: | The main aim of the bachelor thesis will be particularly the analysis of the economic causes which led the Great Britain in the 1930s to the choice of the policy of appeasement (reconciliation of the aggressive European powers, primarily the Nazi German). For the reasons above firstly it goes about the analysis of the economic and then also of the political and social relations between the Great Britain and Germany. At the earliest the thesis analyse the historical background (mainly the impacts of the Great depression), which had influenced the policy of the Great Britain and her economic bindings towards Germany. Further will be analysed the changes of the policy of appeasement in the second half of the 1930s, on the eve of the second Word War and in the period when Britain had to abandon this policy. Simultaneously the thesis will attempt to answer the question whether the Great Britain had the oportunity to choose an alternative policy considering the given internal and extrnal policy factors which would face up the Nazi German more emphatically. |
