| Abstract: | Ve své bakalářské práci jsem analyzovala vývoj a posuzovala míru přibližování ekonomické úrovně české ekonomiky a ekonomik středoevropských zemí k ostatním státům Evropské unie (EU). V analýze jsem využila makroekonomická data hrubého domácího produktu (HDP) na obyvatele, vyjádřeného v umělé měnové jednotce PPS (Purchasing Parity Standard), která vyrovnává rozdíly mezi kupní silou jednotek národních měn členských států EU. K vyjádření reálné konvergence byly použity koncepty beta - konvergence a sigma - konvergence. Analýza prokázala reálnou konvergenci, což znamená, že Česká republika i ostatní středoevropské země vykázaly v poslední dekádě příznivé tempo ekonomického růstu a přibližují se k ekonomickému průměru EU. Stejně tak analýza prokázala, že tento proces byl narušený světovou hospodářskou krizí, která se projevila zpomalením růstu HDP na obyvatele ve všech zemích EU po roce 2007. |

| Abstract: | This thesis analyzes the process of real convergence of the Czech Republic and the selected new European Union members towards the EU-27. The convergence was measured by the copmparison of real GDP per capita in Purchasing Parity Standard units in each country. The real convergence was tested through the concepts of beta convergence and sigma convergence. The analysis proved the real convergence of the Czech Republic and other EU countries towards the EU. That means the Czech Republic's economy level grows and comes nearer to the EU-27 average. It also proved that the convergence process was disrupted by the global economic crisis. The crisis negatively influenced the growth of real GDP per capita at all EU countries and made it slower after 2007. |
