| Abstract: | Cílem mé práce je popsat a porovnat nedávné změny úmrtnostních poměrů dvou nejrozšířenějších příčin úmrtí v České republice. Práci jsem rozdělila do dvou hlavních kapitol. První část bakalářské práce je teoretická a skládá se ze soupisu použitých zdrojů dat, seznamu základních pojmů souvisejících s úmrtností, pasáže o kódování příčin smrti, shrnutí historie mezinárodní klasifikace nemocí, ústavy zabývající se touto problematikou. Teoretickou stať uzavírá vysvětlení pojmu kardiovaskulární revoluce. V druhé části nejprve analyzuji vývoj úmrtnosti celkové a pomocí standardizovaných měr, pak porovnán vývoj mortality vybraných příčin novotvarů a nemocí oběhové soustavy. |

| Abstract: | The aim of my dissertation is to describe and compare recent changes in the mortality rate of two of the most common causes of death in the Czech Republic. I divided my work into two main parts. The first part of my dissertation is theoretical and consists of an inventory of data sources that I used, list of basic concepts related to mortality, coding of causes of death, history of international classification of diseases, institutions dealing with these issues, and concluding the theoretical essay, the term cardiovascular revolution is introduced. In the second part, at first, I analyse the development of the overall mortality, which is followed by the comparison of the development of mortality of neoplasms' selected causes and diseases of the circulatory system, using the standardized measures. |
