| Abstract: | Diplomová práce stručně shrnuje historii pojišťovnictví ve světě s detailnějším zaměřením na Českou republiku. Na historický vývoj zde navazuje situace na pojistných trzích v posledních dvaceti letech. Podrobněji je zde popsáno, jak se pojišťovny vyrovnávají s množícími se přírodními katastrofami a novým typem rizika - terorismem. Práce pokračuje aktuálními trendy v pojišťovnictví a obsáhleji se věnuje dohledu v pojišťovnictví. |

The thesis continues to discuss the situation on insurance markets in the last twenty years. It is described how insurance companies deal with natural disasters and a new type of risk - terorism. The thesis proceeds with actual trends in the insurance industry and supervision in insurance. |
