Which factors influence a size of the nonprofit sector in post-communist countries?

| Abstract: | Diplomová práce si klade za cíl zodpovědět otázku, jaké faktory ovlivňují velikost nestátního neziskového sektoru (NNO) postkomunistických zemí a jak se tento vliv projevuje. Budeme porovnávat několik zemí: Českou republiku, Maďarsko a Polsko. Důvodem výběru těchto tří států je jejich kulturní a regionální blízkost, avšak i přesto se v některých politických faktorech či náboženském složení odlišují. Regresní analýza, v níž použijeme vhodná statistická data jako například velikost veřejných výdajů na neziskový sektor, nám ukáže, jak vybrané veličiny působí na NNO daného státu. Tématem podobnosti těchto států z jednotlivých hledisek vývoje NNO, politického systému či náboženství se zabývalo mnoho autorů, ale naším úkolem je analyzovat jejich vzájemné ovlivnění. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on answering the question which factors affect a size of a non governmental sector (NGOs) in post-communist countries and how do they influence NGOs. We compare three countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. They are regionally and culturally close but they differ in the political system or in the religion. A regression analysis shows us how values as a size of a state spending influence NGOs. Many authors researched similarities of these three states already but our target is to analyze the mutual influence of development of NGOs, the political system and the religion together. |
