| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce líčí ekonomické a politické důvody, které stály za změnou přístupu Velké Británie vůči organizaci EHS v 60. letech 20. století. V analytické části zkoumá vliv integrace na míru růstu britského HDP pomocí vytvořeného indexu integrace a predikuje vývoj úrovně HDP ve dvou alternativních situacích. Datový vzorek je tvořen údaji získanými ze stránek Penn World Table a Geospatial and Statisctical data centre. Výsledky ekonometrické analýzy naznačují, že integrace má dočasný statisticky významný pozitivní vliv na míru růstu britského HDP. Predikce pak ukazuje, že pokud by Velká Británie zůstala v organizaci ESVO, bylo by její HDP v roce 1998 menší o 915 USD. V práci jsou rovněž diskutovány i některá omezení analýzy. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis depicts the economic and political reasons leading to Britain having changed approach towards EEC in 1960s. The analytical research provides inquiry into an influence of the integration on a rate of growth of British GDP, using the set integration index and predicts the development of GDP in two alternative situations. Penn World Table and Geospatial and Statistical data Centre were used as source for data example. The outputs of econometric analysis indicate that positive influence of level of integration on British GDP is proved as statistically temporarily important. The prediction shows, that keeping membership in EFTA would have led to 915 USD p.c. lower GDP in 1998. The thesis also discusses some of the limits of the analysis. |
