| Abstract: | Předkládaná práce analyzuje a porovnává příčiny, průběh a následky finančních krizí, které zasáhly Mexiko v roce 1994 a státy jihovýchodní Asie v roce 1997. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole jsou definovány typy finančních krizí a jejich modely. Druhá a třetí část se věnují mexické, respektive asijské finanční krizi. Ve čtvrté kapitole je popsána pomoc Mezinárodního měnového fondu. V závěrečné kapitole jsou porovnány společné a rozdílné rysy obou krizí. |

| Abstract: | The following paper analyzes and compares causes, development and consequences of the financial crises which affected Mexico in 1994 and the states in Southeast Asia in 1997. The paper is divided into four sections. The first section defines types and models of the financial crises. The second and third sections deal with the Mexican and Asian crises respectively. The fourth section describes the bailout provided by the International Monetary Fund. The final section compares common and different features of both crises. |
