| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se věnuje specifikům trhu profesionálního sportu a zkoumá vliv reputace jednotlivce na jeho mzdu. Tento vliv je zkoumán regresní analýzou na datech z NHL ze sezóny 2010-2011. Reputace je zde zastoupena proxy proměnnou vytvořenou z žebříčku nejvíce draftovaných hráčů ve hře "Fantasy NHL online" a účastí na exhibičním zápase "allstar game". V této práci je zjištěn významný pozitivní vliv reputace na hráčovu mzdu a potvrzení existence "superstar efektu" v NHL. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis concerns professional sports market specifics and examines the influence of reputation on individual`s wage. This influence is examined through regression analysis with the data from NHL season 2010-2011. Reputation is measured with ranking of the most drafted players in the online game "Fantasy NHL online" and by player's participation in the "all-star game". A significant positive influence of reputation on player's wage is discovered. That implies existence of the "superstar effect" in NHL. |
