| Abstract: | Cílem bakalářské práce je objasnit a zhodnotit roli Mezinárodního měnového fondu při řešení krizové situace ve vybraných zemích. První kapitola je zaměřena na obecnou charakteristiku MMF. Je zde popsáno členství zemí v této instituci, vývoj činnosti, realizace finanční pomoci a rovněž je zmíněn kritický pohled na její efektivnost. Na podstatu existence Mezinárodního měnového fondu navazuje druhá kapitola, která se zaobírá pěticí zemí (Řecko, Portugalsko, Španělsko, Itálie, Irsko), na kterých je zanalyzována finanční pomoc a potřebnost Mezinárodního měnového fondu. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to clarify and assess the role of the International Monetary Fund in solving the crisis situation in selected countries. The first chapter is focused on general characteristic of the IMF. It describes country membership in this institution, operation development, financial assistance realization and also it mentions a critical view on its efficiency. The nature of existence of the IMF is described in the second chapter, which covers an analysis of financial assistance for five countries (Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Ireland) and usefulness of the IMF. |
