| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce "Americké kulturní standardy" je identifikovat americké kulturní standardy z pohledu Čechů, kteří v USA studovali nebo pracovali. Tyto standardy by mohly být užitečné dalším studentům nebo lidem, kteří uvažují o cestě do USA za studiem, prací či jen za turistikou a poznáním. V práci jsou popsány největší kulturní šoky při střetávání české a americké kultury a konkrétní doporučení, jak tyto šoky zmírnit nebo jim dokonce předejít. Součástí práce je uvedení do oblasti kulturních dimenzí a standardů. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis "American cultural standards" is to identify American cultural standards from the point of view of Czech people, who have either studied or worked in the United States. These standards could be useful to other students or people who are considering to travel to the USA to study, work or just for tourism. Within these thesis are described uttermost cultural differences caused by confrontation of Czech and American culture as well as the specific recommendations, how to reduce these cultural shocks or prevent them. There is an introduction into issues of cultural dimensions and standards within this thesis too. |
