| Abstract: | Tato práce bude analyzovat mediální obraz Vladimira Putina během jeho působení ve funkci prezidenta a premiéra a jeho využívání k upevnění a udržení si své moci a pozice v ruském politickém systému. Tato práce se zaměří na klíčové události během Putinova působení ve funkci prezidenta, které přispěly k vybudování jeho obrazu silného a starajícího se vůdce, na válku v Čečensku a soudní proces s Michailem Chodorkovským. Dále tato práce bude zkoumat roli Vladimira Putina jako premiéra v rámci tandemu Medveděv-Putin a jeho další budování obrazu vůdce. Na závěr bude analyzovat význam současných protestů v ruské společnosti a jejich dopad na vývoj ruské politiky. Cílem práce je zanalyzovat mediální obraz Vladimira Putina a jeho využívání k posílení své moci a zjistit, zda tento mechanismus může fungovat i v současném Rusku. |

| Abstract: | This thesis will analyze the Vladimir Putin's media image during his tenure as a president and prime minister and its use to consolidate and maintain his power and position in the Russian political system. This thesis will focus on key events durig Putin's presidency which helped him to build an image of strong and caring leader, the Chechen war and trial with Michail Khdorkovsky. Furthermore, the thesis will examine the role of Vladimir Putin as prime minister within Medvedev-Putin. Finally the thesis will analyze the importance of current protests in Russian society and their impact on the development of Russian policy. The aim si to analyze the Vladimir Putin's media image and his use to strengthen his power and determine whether this mechanism can work in contemporary Russia. |
