| Abstract: | Tento příspěvek se zabývá otázkou efektivnosti krajských soudů v České republice. Jako metoda pro zjištění efektivnosti byla použita analýza obalu dat. Ta funguje na principu, kdy podle zvoleného typu modelu označí jednotku buď jako efektivní nebo neefektivní. V této práci byly konkrétně aplikovány jak modely orientované na vstupy (CCR -- konstantní výnosy z rozsahu i BCC -- variabilní výnosy z rozsahu), tak na výstupy (CCR i BCC). Podklady pro analýzu byly získány přímo z poboček jednotlivých soudů a z portálu Justice.cz. Na základě hodnocení pěti vstupů a jednoho výstupu byly identifikovány tři efektivní jednotky modelem CCR a čtyři efektivní jednotky modelem BCC. Zároveň byl zjištěn postup, jak by teoreticky bylo možné u zbývajících neefektivních jednotek modifikovat vstupy a výstup, aby se také staly jednotkami efektivními. |

| Abstract: | Our focus in this paper is to evaluate the efficiency of the District Courts in the Czech Republic. As the method how to find out we used Data Envelopment Analysis. There are two DEA models used for the measure of efficiency. One of them is the CCR model what means with constant returns to scale the other is the BCC model what is one with variable returns to scale. According to them DEA indicated three respectively four efficient Decision Making Units (DMU). For inefficient DMU were determined the ways how to modify inputs and output these units and make them efficient. We worked with five inputs and one output. The data for analysis come from branch offices of every District Court and from the website of the Czech Judiciary. |
