| Abstract: | V evropském kontextu je konstrukt multikulturalismu velmi aktuální a diskutované téma. Poválečný nábor levné pracovní síly většinou z mimoevropských zemí vyústil v posledních letech v krizi soužití evropské většiny a přistěhovaleckých menšin. Cílem bakalářské práce je zodpovědět následující otázky: proč v Evropě idea multikulturalismu nemůže v praxi fungovat a proč je nutné směřovat k integraci přistěhovaleckých menšin. Práce je strukturovaná do čtyř kapitol. V prvních dvou kapitolách jsou analyzována teoretická východiska konceptu multikulturalismu a konceptu národních zájmů. Třetí a čtvrtá kapitola je pojata jako praktická část zabývající se současnou problematikou soužití různých kultur a tendencí integrace menšin. Práce se nese v duchu pnutí mezi mírou tolerance k přistěhovaleckým menšinám, mezi obranou partikulárních národních hodnot a tendencemi vytvořit globální monokulturu. |

| Abstract: | In European context a concept of multiculturalism is a very actual and discussed topic. In recent years, post-war recruitment of cheap labour force, mostly from non-European countries, resulted in a crisis of European majority and immigrant minority coexistence. The main task of the Bachelor thesis is to answer following questions: Why the idea of multiculturalism cannot work in practice and why it is necessary to focus on the integration of minorities. The thesis is structured into four chapters. In first two, theoretical bases of concept of multiculturalism and of national interest are analysed. Third and fourth chapters deal with current issues concerning coexistence of people from different cultures and tendency of the immigrant integration. The thesis balances between the degree of tolerance towards minorities, defense of national values and tendency to build a global monoculture. |
