| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je zkoumání "Not In My Back Yard" efektu, neboli negativního postoje obyvatel k výstavbě nového a potenciálně nebezpečného zařízení v jejich blízkosti. Práce by měla kvantifikovat sílu NIMBY efektu v obci Městec Králové, kde se plánuje výstavba bioplynové stanice. Hypotézou je, že síla NIMBY efektu je výrazně vyšší u obyvatel, kteří bydlí v blízkosti, v porovnání s obyvateli, kteří bydlí dále od tohoto zařízení. Hypotézu se budu snažit vyhodnotit na základě dat z výběrového šetření u obyvatel města. Kvantifikací NIMBY efektu se zabývají převážně zahraniční studie, v případě bioplynových stanic je empirických studií poskrovnu. Z tohoto důvodu budu realizovat studii u obyvatel Městce Králové a pokusím se zjistit, jestli bude prokázán "Not In My Back Yard" efekt. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the thesis is a research of the "Not In My Back Yard" effect, a negative attitude of local people to a construction of a new and potentially dangerous project in their vicinity. The thesis quantifies strength of the NIMBY effect in Městec Králové, a town where a biogas plant is planned to be constructed. The hypothesis is that the strength of the NIMBY effect is higher for the people who live in a higher proximity to a planned construction than for the people who do not.The hypothesis is evaluated based on data gained by an own survey conducted among residents of the town.Quantification of the NIMBY effect is more frequently a subject of research of foreign studies; empirical studies of biogas plants are rather rare. From this reason I have implemented a study of population of Městec Králové and tried to prove whether presence of the "Not In My Back Yard" effect can be indicated. |
