| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá zkoumáním genderových rozdílů na trhu práce. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda odlišné postavení žen a mužů je způsobeno diskriminačním chováním. Teoretická část práce se věnuje základním pojmům, ekonomickým teoriím a legislativním opatřením genderové diskriminace. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou odlišné zaměstnanosti žen a mužů na trhu práce. Dále se zaměřuje na mzdové rozdíly mezi muži a ženami na národní úrovni a na úrovni EU. Samostatná kapitola je věnována analýze faktorů mzdových rozdílů. Poslední kapitola se zaměřuje na ženy na manažerských a politických funkcích. |

| Abstract: | This master thesis examines gender differences in the labor market. The thesis aim is to find out whether the different status of men and women is due to discriminatory behavior. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts, theories, economic and legislative measures of gender discrimination. The practical part analyzes the different employment of women and men in the labor market. It then focuses on wage differences between men and women at the national level and at EU level. A separate chapter is dedicated to analyzing the factors of wage differences. The last chapter focuses on women in managerial and political positions. |
