| Abstract: | Práce zkoumá vliv míry nezaměstnanosti na volební úspěch extremistických a radikálních stran při volbách do parlamentu ve vybraných zemích Evropy v letech 2000 až 2010. Modelem fixních efektů na panelových datech získaných na regionální úrovni bylo zjištěno, že v případě České republiky, Maďarska a Španělska vyšší míra nezaměstnanosti vede k vyššímu podílu hlasů získaného těmito stranami. V Řecku a na Slovensku je tento vliv nevýznamný. Dále byla testována všeobecně přijímaná hypotéza o typickém voliči extremistické strany, kterým je podle teorie mladý muž nižšího vzdělání. Tato hypotéza se nepotvrdila v žádné ze zkoumaných zemí. |

| Abstract: | Thesis examines influence of unemployment on the electoral results of extremistic and radical parties in parliamentary elections in several European countries from 2000 to 2010. By using fixed effects model on panel data collected on regional level it was found that in Czech Republic, Hungary and Spain higher levels of unemployment lead to higher elactoral success of radical and extremistic parties. However in Greece and Slovakia such a influence turned out as insignificant. Also hypothesis of typical voter of such parties was tested. It is commonly accepted that typical voter of extremistic parties is young man with lower education. This hypothesis can't be confirmed in any of examined countries. |
