| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá ekonomikou a hospodářskou politikou Spojených států amerických, zejména zhodnocením přístupů vybraných představitelů dvou hlavních politických stran (republikánské a demokratické) ke klíčovým tématům majícím vliv na ekonomickou a hospodářskou situaci země. V první části jsou vymezeny názorové shody a odlišnosti mezi demokraty a republikány a dále je zde popsána ekonomická situace, ze které prezident Bush ve svém druhém funkčním období vycházel. V dalších částech mé práce popisuji ekonomiku a hospodářskou politiku za doby vlády vybraných prezidentů a jejich administrativ a cíle, které si pro dané období vytyčili. Následně posuzuji, zdali byli schopni tyto cíle naplnit. V poslední kapitole, tedy čtvrté, hodnotím přístup jednotlivých prezidentů a jejich administrativ k reálnému řešení ekonomických otázek a popisuji stav ekonomiky a hospodářské politiky na konci prvního volebního období Baracka H. Obamy. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis is focused on the economy and economic policy of the United States of America, in particular on the evaluation of approaches of selected representatives of the two major political parties (Republican and Democrat) to key issues affecting the economic situation of the country. The first part defines the similarities and differences in opinion between Democrats and Republicans, and there is also a description of the economic situation which formed the basis for the second term of President Bush. In the next sections of my thesis, I describe the economy and economic policy in the period during the rule of selected presidents and their administrations and objectives which they set for that given period. Furthermore, I evaluate whether they were able to meet these objectives. In the last chapter, the fourth, I evaluate the approach of individual presidents and their administrations to real economic issues, and describe the state of the economy at the end of the first term of Barack H. Obama. |
