| Abstract: | Tato disertační práce vznikla s cílem rozšíření aktuálního poznání v oblasti správy společností v České republice. Za tímto účelem byla provedena rešerše literatury, odborných zdrojů, relevantních výzkumů a databáze Magnus. Práce je strukturovaná do několika hlavních částí, kdy je nejprve nabídnut stručný úvod do oblasti správy společností, na který navazuje analýza datového vzorku v kontextu správy společností a hledání závislostí mezi implementací principů správy společností a finanční výkonností podniku. Výklad pokračuje teoretickým úvodem do teorie sítí s akcentem na sítě sociální a ekonomické. V závěrečné části práce je sestavena a detailně analyzována síť prolínajícího se řízení v České republice. Zde jsou prezentovány struktury této empirické podnikové sítě, jejíž charakteristické rysy jsou nejen porovnávány se sítěmi v jiných zemích, ale také jsou diskutovány jejich projevy v tuzemském podnikovém prostředí. |

| Abstract: | The goal of this dissertation thesis is to expand the current knowledge in the area of corporate governance in the Czech Republic. The document consists of several parts. First, a brief introduction to the field of corporate governance is provided. The introduction is followed by the analysis of the data sample in the context of corporate governance, and the search for a potential relationship between the implementation of the principles of corporate governance and financial performance of companies. The next part offers a theoretical introduction to the theory of networks with an emphasis on social and economic networks. In the final part, the empirical network of interlocking directorates in the Czech Republic is presented. The discussion is focused on the structure of the network and its comparison with structures in real business environment in the Czech Republic, and with similar networks from other countries. |
