| Abstract: | Cílem práce je analyzovat historii, vývoj a současnou situaci regionální integrace na africkém kontinentu s důrazem na Unii arabského Maghrebu. První kapitola se věnuje problematice regionalismu v globálních souvislostech. Popisuje jeho evoluci a vymezuje tzv. "nový regionalismus". Druhá kapitola se zabývá historií a současným stavem regionalismu v Africe a zaměřuje se na nejdůležitější integrační uskupení fungující na africkém kontinentu. Ve třetí kapitole je blíže popsána Unie arabského Maghrebu jakožto integrační uskupení působící v Severní Africe s blízkým vztahem k EU. |

| Abstract: | The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to analyze history, development and current situation of regional integration in Africa. It also puts emphasis on the Arab Maghreb Union. The first chapter provides reader with information about regionalism in global context. It describes its evolution and defines so called "new regionalism". The second chapter is concerned with history and actual situation on the field of African regionalism and focuses on most important integration groups functioning in Africa. The third chapter depicts The Arab Maghreb Union as the main regional integration group in Northern Africa with close relationship with the EU. |
