| Abstract: | Ratingové agentury hrají významnou roli na finančním trhu a zajišťují jeho efektivní fungování, nicméně v současné době čelí kritice v souvislosti se vznikem světové finanční krize v letech 2007--2009, v některých případech bývají dokonce označovány za klíčovou příčinu této krize. Cílem této bakalářské práce je nejdříve vymezit roli ratingu a ratingových agentur na finančním trhu a následně zanalyzovat, jakým způsobem a do jaké míry se ratingové agentury skutečně podílely na vzniku světové finanční krize. První kapitola je zaměřena na teoretické vymezení relevantních pojmů, zatímco druhá kapitola se věnuje samotné analýze vlivu ratingového ohodnocení na vznik světové finanční krize. V rámci druhé kapitoly se autor rovněž soustředí na následky, s nimiž se ratingové agentury musely následně vypořádat. |

| Abstract: | Credit rating agencies play an important role in the financial market and ensure its effective functioning. However, they now face criticism due to their involvement in the development of the global financial crisis in 2007--2009, and in some cases they are even referred to as the key cause of the crisis. The purpose of this thesis is to define the role of credit rating and credit rating agencies in the global financial market and to analyse how and to what extent the rating agencies were actually involved in the origin of the global financial crisis. The first chapter deals with the theoretical definition of relevant terms while the second chapter analyses the impact of ratings on the development of the global financial crisis and it also focuses on the consequences that credit rating agencies had to deal with following their implication in the cause of the crisis. |
