| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá érou zahraniční politiky prezidenta Saakašviliho a zejména pak její srovnání s gruzínskými národními zájmy. Klíčovou otázkou práce je válka mezi Gruzií a Ruskem z roku 2008. Cílem práce je mnohostranný výzkum zájmů Gruzie, politiky Michaila Saakašviliho, zejména pak v souvislosti s jeho rolí ve válce s Ruskou federací v roce 2008, a následné porovnání obou. Hypotézou práce je neprospěšnost jednostranné orientace Gruzie a její nesoulad s národními zájmy. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the era of foreign politics of president Saakashvili and especially its comparison with Georgian national interests. The key issue of this thesis is the Russo-Georgian war of 2008. The main aim of this work is a wide-ranging study of national interests of Georgia, politics of Michail Saakashvili, with special attention given to his role in war with the Russian Federation in 2008 and consequently a comparison of both. The hypothesis of this work claims that one-sided orientation of foreign politics of Georgia is not beneficial and does not comply with its national interests. |
