| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis analyses the policy of International Atomic Energy Agency towards Iranian nuclear programme. The aim of this thesis is to find out if the agency does its best for keeping the nuclear weapons from Iran. The first chapter is dedicated to crucial terms connected to military nuclear programme. It summarizes the threats which can be brought by abuse of atomic energy. In addition, it describes international initiatives which try to face these threats. The rest of the thesis concentrates directly on the problems of the IAEA policy and the Iranian nuclear programme. The text includes description of functioning of the IAEA with focus on safeguard system. Furthermore, there is an introduction of the Iranian nuclear programme, paying special attention to its development since 2002. The last part of the thesis brings limiting factors which do not allow the agency to assume the role of a nuclear watchdog under the Non -- Proliferation Treaty in full. |

| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje politiku Mezinárodní agentury pro atomovou energii (IAEA) vůči íránskému jadernému programu s cílem zjistit, jestli agentura koná vše proto, aby zamezila Íránu ve výrobě jaderných zbraní. V první kapitole se věnuje základním pojmům spojených s vojenským jaderným programem. Sumarizuje množství hrozeb, které s sebou zneužití jaderné energie přináší, a zároveň přibližuje mezinárodní iniciativy, které se snaží těmto hrozbám čelit. Zbytek práce se koncentruje přímo na problematiku politiky IAEA a jaderného programu Íránu. V textu je popsáno fungování agentury se zaměřením na zárukový systém, dále je představen íránský jaderný program s důrazem na jeho vývoj od roku 2002. Poslední část přináší omezující faktory, které nedovolují agentuře vykonávat svou roli kontrolora neproliferačního režimu v plném rozsahu. |
