| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem japonského bankovního systému v širším společenském kontextu od vzniku prvních bankovních institucí v období Tokugawa až do současnosti. Největší pozornost je věnována jeho roli při vzniku finanční krize na přelomu 80. a 90. let 20. století a dopadům, které na něj tato krize měla. V práci jsou popsány hlavní příčiny této krize, které je nutné hledat jak na straně bankovního sektoru, tak ve zpožděné a nedostatečné reakci japonských vlád. Z analýzy protikrizových opatření a reformních snah vlád cílených do oblasti bankovního sektoru vyplývá, že v podstatě pouze tři ze čtrnácti premiérů v období 1991-2012 přišly s opatřeními zaměřenými na ozdravení a další rozvoj bankovní sektoru. V závěru práce jsou diskutovány možné dopady hospodářské politiky současného premiéra Šinzóa Abeho, tzv. "Abenomiky", na bankovní sektor. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the development of Japanese banking system in wider social context from the establishment of the first banking institutions in Tokugawa era until present. Most attention is paid to its role during the emergence of the financial crisis at the turn of the 80s and 90s of the 20th century and the way it was affected by the crisis. This work describes the main causes of the crisis which can be identified not only in the behaviour of banking institutions, but also in the delayed and inadequate reaction of the Japanese government. The analysis of governmental anti-crisis measures and the reform efforts indicates that in fact only three of fourteen prime ministers from 1991 to 2012 came up with measures aimed at the resurgence and further development of the banking sector. In conclusion potential consequences of current economic policy, so called "Abenomics", for the banking sector, are discussed. |
