| Abstract: | Diplomová práce představuje řešení Business Intelligence v oblasti vysokého školství. Toto řešení zahrnuje návrh vybraných úloh, metrik, dimenzí a analytických aplikací s využitím metodiky MBI. Dílčím cílem je shrnutí praktických poznatků získaných z praktického BI projektů realizovaného v oblasti vysokého školství ve společnosti IBM. Pro dosážení stanovených cílů se využijí poznatky z praxe. Tyto poznatky potvrzují skutečnost, že navržené úlohy, metriky a dimenze jsou opravdu použitelné v realné praxi. Hlavním přínosem práce je obohacení metodiky MBI o odvětové řešení z oblasti vysokého školství. Dílčím přínosem je dokumentace specifik spojených s implementací praktického BI projektů ve společnosti IBM. |

| Abstract: | The thesis presents a Business Intelligence solution in higher education area. The solution is comprised of the design and implementation of representative tasks, metrics, dimensions and analytical applications with the use of MBI methods. The sub-goal is to summarize knowledge gained by the BI project implemented in higher education area by IBM Corporation. A Hands-on knowledge was used to achieve the set targets. This knowledge confirms the fact that designed tasks, metrics and dimensions are indeed applicable in practice. The main contribution of the thesis consists in enriching the MBI methodology with a solution applicable in high education sector. The interim contribution lies in documentation of specifics connected with implementation of the BI project within Internatinal Business Machines Corporation. |
