| Abstract: | Výzkum této práce zkoumá trendy, které ovlivňují informační technologie v českém retailovém bankovnictví. Hlavním cílem práce je evaluace adopce IT trendů retailovými bankami v České republice. Pro dosažení tohoto cíle bylo přistoupeno k rozhovorům s IT pracovníky v českých retailových bankách a IT konzultanty v oblasti bankovnictví. Dílčími cíli pak jsou identifikace a konsolidace IT trendů v bankovnictví za pomocí analýza relevantních zdrojů identifikovaných v rešerši a metodika pro mapování trendů autorky Kjear a také rozbor IT trendů v bankovnictví, který slouží k popisu identifikovaných trendů a jejich zanesení na Hype křivku. Práce dále v úvodu, kromě svého cíle, předpokladů, omezení a očekávaných přínosů, upřesní současný stav bádání za pomocí provedené rešerše. Teoretická část popíše klíčové charakteristiky banky a trendy působící na retailové banky. Na základě analýzy vybraných reportů dojde k identifikaci klíčových IT trendů v bankovnictví a jejich konsolidaci. Praktická část diskutuje výsledky z provedených hloubkových rozhovorů s lidmi s dlouholetou praxí v oblasti IT v bankách. Využitelnosti dosažených výsledků lze spatřovat v identifikace současných trendů IT v bankovnictví a vytvoření analytického postupu pro nalezení nejvíce signifikantních trendů ze všech v současnosti zmiňovaných. Dále pak ve zhodnocení současného stavu adopce IT trendů u retailových bank a zvážení možných dalších kroků v této oblasti např. rozhodnutí o budoucích investicích, popř. přehodnocení strategie. |

| Abstract: | This research work examines trends that affect information technology in the Czech retail banking. The main objective is the evaluation of IT trends adoption in retail banking. To achieve this goal, interviews with IT professionals in the Czech retail banks and IT consultants in the field of banking were taken. Specific objectives were identification and consolidation of IT trends in the banking sector through the analysis of relevant sources identified in the research. Consolidation is using the methodology mentioned in book Trend Management Toolkit by author Kjear. Analysis of IT trends in banking aimed to describe the identified trends and their position on the Hype Cycle curve. First part of work consist of introduction, goals, assumptions, limitations and expected benefits, specifying the current state by conducting research. The theoretical part describes the key bank characteristics and trends influencing retail bank sector. Based on an analysis of selected reports work identifies key IT trends in banking and their consolidation. The practical part discuss the results of in-depth interviews conducted with people with long lasting experience in IT in banks. Usefulness of the results can be seen in the identification of current IT trends in banking and the creation of an analytical procedure for finding the most significant trends of all currently mentioned. Furthermore, in evaluating the state of IT adoption trends, which is currently expected by retail banks and considering possible further steps in this area. Leading to decisions about future investments or to strategy review. |
