| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá komplexní problematikou plýtvání potravinami a obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. Cílem první části práce bylo komplexně a přehledně analyzovat ekonomické a politické souvislosti plýtvání potravinami, definovat základní pojmy a právní legislativu. Následně byly popsány příčiny plýtvání potravinami v jednotlivých fázích potravinového řetězce a vybrané důsledky plýtvání potravinami. Hlavním cílem druhé části práce byla demonstrace plýtvání potravinami na reálném příkladu dvou českých společností, které obě působí v oblasti distribuce potravin. V této části práce jsem provedl vlastní kvalitativní výzkum s představiteli společností na základě strukturovaného dotazníku. V závěru celé práce shrnuji výsledky práce a přidávám k nim některé vlastní návrhy řešení tohoto problému. |

| Abstract: | This thesis looks into the complex issue of food waste and consists of a theoretical and practical part. The first part of the thesis aims at analyzing economic and political context of the food waste and also defining fundamental terms and legislation. It is followed by a description of the causes of food waste in all stages of the food chain and selected consequences of food waste. The main goal of the second part of the thesis is to demonstrate food waste in a real case of two Czech companies, which operate in food distribution. In this part of the thesis I have performed own qualitative research with representatives of
the companies based on a structured questionnaire. In the conclusion, I have summarized main results of the research and made my own suggestions for solving this problem. |
