| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá stavem lidských práv v Korejské lidově demokratické republice v 21. století. Cílem práce je vymezení hlavních mezí a možností podpory lidských práv v KLDR, a to především ze strany Spojených států amerických. USA se na Korejském poloostrově angažují již více než šedesát let a jejich aktivita se vztahuje i na lidskoprávní otázky. Práce se věnuje činnostem, které podniká americká zahraniční politika za účelem podpory severokorejských lidských práv, a jejich mezím. Mezi tyto činnosti patří legislativní opatření, ekonomické sankce a potravinová pomoc. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis focuses on the situation of human rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the 21st century. The aim of the thesis is to define the main limits and possibilities of human rights support in the DPRK; main focus is put on the bilateral role of the United States of America. The USA has been active on the Korean Peninsula for more than sixty years and their activities are also connected to the human rights situation. The thesis discusses activities of American foreign policy that are meant for the human rights support in DPRK and their limits. These activities include legislative measures, economic sanctions and food support. |
