| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá britským přístupem k evropské integraci za vlády Margaret Thatcherové. První kapitola se věnuje termínu euroskepticismu, jeho typologii a britskému euroskepticismu. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na úlohu Velké Británie v evropském integračním procesu. Třetí kapitola je věnována politickému životu Margaret Thatcherové. V této kapitole je také charakterizován její vůdcovský styl. Poslední kapitola se zabývá vztahem Margaret Thatcherové k Evropským společenstvím. V této kapitole jsou zachyceny důležité události, které vedly ke změně jejího přístupu k Evropským společenstvím. Část této kapitoly je také dedikována jejímu slavnému projevu v Bruggách. Cílem této práce je analyzovat příčiny obratu postoje Margaret Thatcherové k evropské integraci. Dále se práce zabývá, jakým způsobem přispěla k euroskeptickému postoji Británie a jak se vyvíjely vztahy mezi jednotlivými členskými státy a Spojeným královstvím. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the British approach to European integration under the rule of Margaret Thatcher. The first chapter defines the term euroscepticism, its typology and British euroscepticism. The second chapter focuses on the role of Great Britain in the European integration process. The third chapter is about political life of Margaret Thatcher. Her leadership style is also characterized in this chapter. The last chapter focuses on relations between Margaret Thatcher and the European Communities. All the significant affairs, which led to the change of her relations with the European Communities, are described in this chapter. A part of the last chapter is also dedicated to her famous speech, the Bruges Speech. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the turnabout causes of her attitude to the European integration. Further the thesis illustrates how she contributed to the Eurosceptic position of Great Britain, and how relations between individual member states and the United Kingdom have developed. |
