| Abstract: | Předmětem diplomové práce je riziko a jeho řízení v rámci nového regulatorního rámce v oblasti pojišťovnictví Solvency II. Hlavní náplní práce je směrnice Solvency II, která slouží od 1.1.2016 jako nástroj regulace pojistného trhu v rámci Evropské Unie. Vedle klasifikace rizika, risk managementu a příkladu jeho aplikace v pojišťovně, je v práci také zmíněna globální finanční krize (její příčiny a dopady) a pro srovnání je také často uváděna situace v bankovnictví. Významnou část práce tvoří II. pilíř směrnice, jehož nedílnou součástí je mj. právě řízení rizik vedle dalších funkcí jako je např. pojistně matematická funkce. |

| Abstract: | The subject of the Master Thesis is risk and risk management within the new regulatory framework in the field of insurance Solvency II. The thesis especially deals with the Solvency II directive that has been used as an instrument for the insurance market regulation within the European Union since 1st January 2016. Besides the risk classification, risk management and an example of its application in an insurance company, the thesis also mentions the global financial crisis (its causes and consequences) on the background of the banking sector. Another important part of the thesis describes the second pillar of the Solvency II directive whose integral parts, among others, are risk management along with its other functions, e.g. actuarial function. |
