| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá konceptem uhlíkové daně. Představuje teoretické fungování uhlíkové daně, konkrétní odhady sazeb této daně, možné dopady na ekonomiku a srovnání s potenciálními alternativami. V empirické části je na základě panelových dat zkoumán vliv velikosti sazby uhlíkové daně na množství vypouštěných emisí CO2 ve vybraných státech OECD. Výsledky regresní analýzy dokazují, že každé zvýšení uhlíkové daně o 1$ na tunu CO2, se projeví v poklesu vyprodukovaných emisí v daném státě o 0,57 %. Práce tak ukazuje, že uhlíková daň by mohla být dobře využitelným nástrojem pro snížení množství produkovaných emisí CO2, a tím pádem k omezení dopadu klimatických změn. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with a concept of a carbon tax. It presents the theoretical working of the carbon tax, estimates of the tax rate, possible impacts on the economy and comparison to potential alternatives. In the empirical part of the thesis, there is, based on panel data, analyzed the effect of the size of the carbon tax rate on the amount of emissions of CO2 in selected OECD countries. Results of regression analysis indicate that every increase in the carbon tax rate by $1 per tonne of CO2 will be reflected in the decrease of emissions by 0.57 % in the given country. The thesis thus shows that carbon tax could be quite useful tool for reduction in the amount of emissions of CO2 and therefore a useful tool to reduce impacts of climate change. |
