| Abstract: | Cílem práce je zmapovat možnosti měření efektivity zdravotnických zařízení a na praktickém příkladu jednu z nalezených metod využít. V úvodu práce jsou s využitím literatury vysvětlené pojmy efektivita a efektivnost. V další části jsou popsána specifika zdravotnických zařízení z pohledu jejich fungování a ekonomiky. Možnosti měření efektivity ve zdravotnictví jsou zjišťovány zejména pomocí odborné literatury. Detailní pohled i praktická část jsou věnovány moderní metodě měření efek-tivity analýze datového obalu DEA. V praktické části je pomocí zvoleného nástroje vy-hodnocena efektivita souboru vybraných nemocnic. V závěru práce jsou shrnuté možnosti měření efektivity a posouzena výhodnost použití metody DEA. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the thesis is to map out the possibilities of measuring the effectiveness of health care facilities and a practical example of the one found methods to use. In the introduction there are explained the terms efficiency and effectiveness. The next section describes the specifics of health care facilities in terms of their performance and the economy. Options of measuring efficiency in health care are identified mainly through literature. Detailed view of a practical part is dedicated to the modern method of measuring the effectiveness the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). In the practical part using the chosen tools is evaluated the effectiveness of a sample of hospitals. The conclusion summarizes the possibilities of measuring the effectiveness and assesses the benefits of using DEA. |
