| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku porovnání Velké Británie a Irska jako destinací cestovního ruchu. Zároveň se autorka zmíní o ekonomickém a kulturním vývoji obou zemí. Autorka se prvotně zaměřuje na kulturní a přírodní předpoklady pro cestovní ruch. Dále zkoumá postavení cestovního ruchu v ekonomice. Zaměří se na vliv cestovního ruchu na HDP, na zaměstnanosti a export cestovního ruchu. Součástí práce je i zhodnocení image destinace, tedy toho, jak dané destinace vnímají potenciální turisté. Konečné hodnocení destinací vychází z tzv. Indexu konkurenceschopnosti pro cestovní ruch z roku 2015. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis focuses on a comparison of Great Britain and Ireland as destinations of tourism. The author also mentions economic and cultural development of both countries.
Firstly, the author focuses on cultural and natural premises of tourism. Next, she focuses on contribution of tourism to state economy. It consists of the effects of tourism on GDP, on employment or export of tourism. A part of the thesis is an evaluation of a destination image, which is a perception of the destination by potential tourists. The final assessment of destinations is based on The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015. |
