| Abstract: | Práce pojednává o významu protidrogové politiky ve vztazích mezi USA a Kolumbií. Protidrogová agenda je analyzována za vlády prezidenta Ernesta Sampera, Andrése Pastrany, Alvára Uribeho a Juana Manuela Santose. Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat význam protidrogové agendy mezi těmito státy v jejich zahraniční politice v průběhu minulých 20 let a zjistit, zdali je význam protidrogové politiky rostoucí či klesající. Cílem je také určit charakter protidrogové politiky v období vlády jednotlivých prezidentů. Práce nejprve obecně analyzuje dlouhodobý vztah mezi USA a Kolumbií. Stěžejní je však analýza zahraniční politiky jednotlivých kolumbijských prezidentů vůči USA, ze které vyplývá klesající význam protidrogové agendy ve vztazích mezi USA a Kolumbií. |

| Abstract: | This thesis discusses the importance of anti-drug policy between the U.S. and Colombia. It analyses the anti-drug policy during the presidency of Ernesto Samper, Andrés Pastrana, Álvaro Uribe and Juan Manuel Santos. The main goal of this work is to analyse the importance of counternarcotics agenda between these states as part of their foreign policy over the past 20 years and to find out if there is an increasing or a decreasing trend. Part of the aim is also to define the character of anti-drug policy during the term of office for each colombian president. At first, this thesis analyses the long-standing relationship between the U.S. and Colombia. Nevertheless, the crucial part is the analysis of each colombian president's foreign policy that suggests a decreasing trend of counternarcotics policy in the U.S.-Colombian relations. |
